The front and rear rims are individually designed, with the front being wider and more compliant, so that it supports comfort and tracking. The rear rim, meanwhile, is slightly narrower for effective power transfer and toughness, while both are incredibly durable.
The rims are also both shallow, meaning increased vertical compliance for better shock absorption and a better balance of compliance, weight saving and reliability. Both front and rear rims use ENVE's wide hookless bead technology to protect against pinch flats. As the rear wheel often takes more shocks that the front, the rim bead on there is substantially wider, for an extra level of support.
