The Renthal Fatbar is the ultimate aluminium downhill race handlebar.

We designed the Fatbar to be the ultimate combination of lightness, strength and durability.

Race Weight

The all new Fatbar is at a much lower weight of just 315g. This has been achieved with more efficient use of material, removing any excess to reduce weight, whilst retaining the strength, durability and flex characteristics of the original Fatbar.

As well as reducing weight, width is also increased up to a full 800mm. The Fatbar features proven 7° back sweep / 5° up sweep combination and is available in 10, 20, 30 and 40mm rise options, to suit any bike and any rider preference. All rise options are also available in both 31.8mm and 35mm diameters.

Handcrafted with lightweight bladed aero spokes to decrease resistance and widely spaced hub flanges the Carbaura RCD wheelsets have been built to reduce any possible lateral flex and increase power transfer. Both front and rear wheels use a 16/8e lacing pattern to balance spoke tensions and withstand torque and braking forces from the centre of the wheels.

Available in two depths, 35mm, a lower inertia option great for undulating courses, and 50mm, a more aerodynamic option for flatter routes.

100kg is our recommended maximum rider weight limit for these wheels. Rider weights beyond 100kg are often still viable with our wheels, but this does add extra stress to the components and we recommend regular checks with an experienced mechanic.
