The G27 gets its name from its 27mm internal rim width and is optimised for 27.5/650b XC 2.0 to 2.25 tyres. Riders who frequent rough and loose terrain or who primarily ride dirt, and prioritise traction and stable control over flat-out speed will gravitate towards the G27, benefitting from the additional air volume, durability, and anti-flat performance. With a weight of just 320g, the G27 accelerates quickly and ascends with ease. However, it's not designed to be treated delicately – ENVE's G Series wheels have been tested to MTB standards tailored to the demands of gravel riding. While the G27 has been designed from the ground-up as a dedicated gravel wheelset, it shares the Wide Hookless Bead technology seen across ENVE's M Series MTB wheels. This wide 4.5mm rim bead shape reduces the likelihood of pinch-flatting your tubeless tyre or cracking the rim by working in parallel with the rim's shape and carbon laminate to dissipate impact energy. The G27 is intended for tubeless applications and features a moulded bead-lock to ensure that your tyres will remain secure and sealed to the rim over even the roughest terrain.
