    Our new, updated Croix de Fer 853 frameset gives you a little more to think about, and we believe that's a good thing.
  • You can now officially run our original adventure bike with up to a 45mm rear tyre and a 50mm front tyre on 700c rims - and it doesn't end there. If you want to experiment with 650B wheels, you could run up to a 44mm rear tyre and a 50mm front tyre.Bike HireTo some it might be the perfect canvas for a traditional tourer - while others will go off the beaten track and dabble with messier brush strokes. What remains the same is the heart of the bike. Constructed from Reynolds 853 tubing throughout, this is air hardened.     If you are looking for a world-renowned touring bike then look no further than the iconic Surly Disc Trucker.

    Perfect for someone who is looking for a bike that can be fully loaded up with all the gear you could ever need and guide you to your destination. 

    The frame and fork features a Chromoly strong yet compliant 4130 Steel tubing.

    Compared to the older Long Haul Trucker this features Flat mount brake fitting ideally suited for hydraulic or mechanical flat mount calipers along with bolt through axles for tool free fitting and increased strength.

     

    Features:

    Dynamo routing on the fork as well as all of the fixing points you could ever need for bottle cages, mudguards and fork side cages.

    Comfortable frame geometry with all the stack height you could ever wish for, shortened seat tube and lower stand over height for when those legs are feeling it!

    12x142 Rear wheel spacing / 10 x100mm Front wheel spacing

    Frame sizes for 26' wheels start from 42cm and go up to 56cm and 700c are available from 56cm-64cm.
