Whats the main purpose of the Surly and what's it capable of?

During my time using the Surly Straggler, it's survived 100 mile road rides from our bike shop in Edinburgh up to Aberdeen, used as a daily commuter, thrashed around the Pentland hills and has been fully packed up with a tent, sleeping bag, portable cooker and all the other bits and bobs to keep you going.Kona
